Well, what is the our family up to this year?! I’m sure you were anxiously awaiting this letter by your mailbox. But if you did so like the old lady in “The Mailbox” I have no sympathy for you. She had what was coming to her.
Well, where shall I start? Howza bout youngest to oldest? Cause that’s how we roll and there’s nothing you can do about it!
Brown Eyes - Brown Eyes has been the most awesome little boy! He was a little delayed compared to the boys with his walking but now he’s doing about a 5 minute mile. So not bad at all, but still room for improvement so we can crush those freakin’ Kenyans. He has the darkest brown eyes of all the boys by far (Isaac’s genetic tampering has not panned out yet!?!) and they have brought grown men to their knees with their cuteness.
Twinie 2 - He still sucks his thumb every now and then, so we are considering cutting it off. Opposable digits aren’t really necessary are they? He enjoys his two days of pre-school a week with his brother and has been an excellent wingman for Oliver at the clubs they frequent. We know they don’t drink because they told us they don’t, but we’re just concerned that they are going to seedier clubs where less than quality X is obtained. Oh and he loves candy, too!
Twinie 1 - The “twin we love more” has been so awesome this past year! He’s been quite the ladies man at pre-school and has already expressed his desire to marry. We told him good boys don’t get married until they’re at least 12. Then out the door with you. Twinie 1 enjoys a good game of pinochle and backgammon. He doesn’t always drink sugar drinks but when he does, he prefers Root Beer. He enjoys long walks on the beach and candlelight dinners.
Smiley - He’s been doing great on his violin, despite a harsh criticism from Itzhak Perlman at one of his concerts. We’d club the guy in the knees but he already uses crutches so we’re limited on the revenge thing. He has been doing great in school and will soon be a sophomore at Pleasant Grove High School (how time flies!). Being the oldest has been quite the experiment for us as parents but soon we will have honed Smiley into the finest killing machine this planet has ever known.
The Damsel - She’s been busy making cupcakes for birthdays and weddings and there seems to be no end for her talent! She would open up a shop in Utah but every stinkin’ woman here thinks they are good at it so there’s a bazillion cake and cupcake shops around. She’s been kept busy taking care of these crazy four boys while maintaining her ravishing good looks and Pantene Pro-V hair. She has been particularly enamored (along with Isaac) with the show Vampire Diaires, which is superior to that Twilight crap (take that Stephanie Meyer). Her big dilemma lately hasn’t been deciding between team Edward or Jacob, but Team Stefan or Team Damon.
The Superhero - In a bloodless coup, he has taken over Ultradent, the company he currently works for. He built support on his idea of 3 month mandatory vacation time per year. His goal is to become a teacher to mold minds so he can build an army of followers. From there the sky is the limit. He has been becoming more libertarian and a big Ron Paul supporter (who is better than the other GOP candidates, just sayin). He, like The Damsel, is quite torn about whether he is Team Stefan or Team Damon. More fasting and prayers will be required to get to that answer. The Superhero also enjoys criticizing The Damsel’s cupcakes, not because he dislikes them, but to toughen her up for when her cupcakes will rule all other cupcakes and negativity is being thrown her way.
We hope you enjoy this holiday season in 2011 and we wish you all the best for the next year! (Provided your goals do not interfere with ours) Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

2011
What a year 2011 has been. We have had many adventures as a family. Lets start with Brown Eyes:
Brown Eyes, our youngest has been such a joy and blessing in our lives. He turned 1 in July and follows his older brothers everywhere. He is growing up way too fast and already demands to eat at the big table instead of his high chair. His favorite things are cars, his giraffe (and lovey), being outside (he could stay out there for hours with the dirt rocks and sticks) and throwing things, anything really, and at whoever, even if they aren't looking, (OUCH!!!!).
Twinie 2 turned 4 this year and is always hopping and skipping wherever he goes. He is happy and loves to sing songs. We have been trying to break him of his thumb sucking habit, but he is rather attached, braces here we come!!! He started preschool this year, which he loves. Many times I see him sitting at the little table drawing and coloring. He is actually getting really good at some of his letters. I love having twins because they are best friends and love to do everything together!
Twinie 1, also turned 4 this year, twins remember?!?! He is very affectionate and loves to get your attention by taking your head or hand in his hands and directing your attention to him. He too loves to sing, and if you start a song he knows he will finish it for you. Preschool is also one of his favorite things, and he asks daily if they are going. He and twinie 2 can often be found stealing food from our food storage and being slightly, ok really mischievous at times. Most of the time though I just have to chuckle inside at the schemes they come up with. They are both very imaginative.
Smiley, is almost 8!!!! How did that happen???? I look at my oldest and can't believe he can be that old. He loves going to school and loves his 2nd grade teacher. He is incredibly smart, and I am not just saying that because I am his mother. Right now he is obsessed with arches. We took all the boys to Arches National Park near Moab, UT for the twinies birthday and Eli fell in love with the place and has talked of nothing else. We are hoping to go back in February. He is doing very well with his violin, I love to hear him practice and see him get excited when he completes a song.
The Damsel: I have been busy this year trying to make the perfect from scratch cupcakes. I have found a few new recipes that I love, but many are still a work in progress. Big news for me this year is that I ran my first marathon. The plan was to run one in 2012 but my very motivating friends convinced me to sign up and run the Top of Utah MArathon and despite the pouring rain, thunder and cold, I was able to finish under my goal time, which was awesome! I love running and hope to run 2 marathons next year and a few half marathons. My precious boys keep me on my toes, but I love snuggling with them and reading Dr. Seuss books to them.
The Superhero, and he truly is our superhero. He continues to work a Ultradent, battling off the evil forces of auditors and the system. He scales tall mountains in several leaps with his sons and makes them fly high with his super strength. He has become a force for good in the superhero world with his podcast "The Worlds Best Podcast" where he reconciles differences of opinions and makes people swoon with his intellect and humor. (Check it out http://tinmanfrisbie.podbean.com/). Overall he is a all American good guy that loves his family and friends and helps out those in need!

Bridge Mix
I had one of my dearest friends tell me once about when her kids where younger and driving her a little crazy, ok, probably a lot crazy, she would lock herself in the bathroom and eat bridge mix just to get away from the insanity of motherhood . For those of you who do not know the wonder of bridge mix you are missing out. It is everything chocolate covered, from nuts, to soft centers, to gummies. It truly is an amazing candy, and has been known to erase all fears, complaints, worries, stresses, and whining, screaming children, if only for a moment or 2.
As a mother of 4 boys myself, I have had many a "bridge mix" day, and luckily my fabulous friend I mentioned earlier brought me 5 lbs of it last year for my birthday, so I keep myself well stocked. So I created this blog, to share the stories from my life, both good and bad. Hopefully you can get a good chuckle or know that you are not alone. Take care, and go get some bridge mix!!!!
